DAY 3

Welp, it's Day 3 and they warn you that this is the worst day you will experience. It will be the most sore, painful, and tired day ever. Well, they were absolutely correct. Once again, I missed the open gym. I literally could not move when I first woke up. You people have no idea the kind of pain I experienced. Well, I manage after 10 min of groaning and massaging and cussing to get outta bed to make it to breakfast at 7. Breakfast was fruit and a "Frutata". Well, not quite sure how to spell it but that's how it's pronounced. It was like an egg casserole with potatoes on the bottom and some unidentified foreign objects in it topped with feta cheese. It was really salty but decent. I think next time I'm going to go for the cereal. It was strange. So, it's 8:00, HIKE TIME!! I actually don't mind the hikes. The scenery is SOOOOOOOOO beautiful. Everyday I hike, I tell myself, holy cow, we don't have this in Southern Illinois!!! The hike went really well!!! Everyone did great in my group and the hike was really good. We climbed a lot which I liked and it was all slick rock which i like better than sand!!!

We got back and time for aquacise like always. Robin was our instructor and she was a KILLER. I was def out of breath the whole time. which is good.. Lunch was good! It was a soup which was Sun Sprout Soup. NO idea what sun sprout was but it was edible. I didn't love it but I ate it all. Lunch was pizza which was pretty good. It had a whole wheat crust which was exciting because we don't get bread alot!! haha but it was topped with cheese, tomatoes, and other small cubes of something that was red and yellow. It was actually really really good!!! Man, the flavor/garlic was so strong. It was just like Mom's salad. You tasted it ALL day!!! haha

I can't remember the name of the first class but it was a killer. You did 4 different things for 5 min straight going balls to the wall as fast as you could. I was literally dripping with sweat. It was crazy!!! The first station was kick boxing. Man, I beat the hell outta that punching bag. The second station was a step where you were constantly stepping up and down and kicking your legs. The third station was those huge balls. You had to lay on it and do stomach crunches. OHMIGOD. Just try to do stomach crunches for five min straight and FAST. For one minute of the ball station, you have to sprint back and forth across the room. I was dying. The fourth station was a spin bike. I actually like riding the bike so that wasn't bad. After that, you got to pick 2 stations and do those for 4 minutes each. I chose the kick boxing and the step. After we got all done with that, we ran 2 laps around the pool. The second class was Cardio Circuit again. Once again, just like curves on steroids. And when I say steroids, I mean Arnold Schwarzenegger steriods!!! Probably twice as hard. Lets just say by 4:15 on Day 3, I was DONE. I was sooooooo tired!!!!!

Dinner was a salmon patty with asparagus and wasabi mashed potatoes. I talked to the cook at lunch and got a Boca burger instead of the fish. I always eat the asparagus. I didn't like it, but ate it anyways. Well, the second time around, it wasn't that bad! I think I'm starting to like it!! And, the wasabi mashed potatoes!!! FANTASTIC!!! I loved them waaay more than regular mashed potatoes. The boca burger wasn't tooo bad!!! I could eat that at home also!!!!

After dinner was another lecture. Sharon taught it. It was really good. It went over some sample exercise plans for when we return home which is exactly what I wanted. I wrote everything down and very excited!!! After lecture, I ran to my room, took a shower, and popped in my wireless card!!!!!!! My fantastic mother overnighted it to me!!! Now, I can be online alot more!!!

So everyone has been asking me about my roommate... Welllll, she's a lil strange. She's like 60ish and weird. We watched the bachelor Monday night and then told the girls we eat lunch with that I "liked it when they kissed on tv"... First off, I never said that.. and it was just weird!!!! Also, she never attends all the classes or anything. So I'll come to my room and there she is napping. Or, she'll skip lecture and go nap!! It's frustrating. I'm so tired and sore and she's sleeping!!! One day she tried to get me to do something and it was the same time as lecture, and finally I had to say, "NO! I want to go to lecture" I wanted to scream, I want the freaking teeshirt!!!! Another odd thing, the heat is set on like 70-75. ------Funny, she just asked me what I was doing right now.. I wanted to say, typing about how you suck!!!! hahaha------ Anyway I asked if we could keep it cooler because I can't sleep with is so warm. She was like sure, what do you want it set on? 65? 60? maybe 55? I was like 65-60 would be fine. She said, I don't mind 55. I was like, that's a lil cold. Lets go with 60. SO I'm thinkin, perfect! That was in the afternoon. Now it's Bedtime... I can't sleep... It soooo hot in here. I ask her what it's set on. She says, oh, 70.. i was cold.. I about freaked outttt... the same lady who said 55 was ok and she turns it on 70.. what a nut job! So finally tonight (Day 3) I had to tell her, we have to keep it colder, i can't sleep! So from 7:30-9:00, she's been going, "brrr, it's so cold in here!" UGHHHH Good thing she's only staying one week!!!

Well, I'm going to bed.. it's 9:07... past my bedtime! Wish me luck tomorrow!! The soreness is supposed to go away. ALSO, tomorrow, I want to blog about all my new friends I'm meeting!

  1. well bets, so good so far and it's only going to get better from here on out!! so, how much does it cost to come there for a week....or two?? i seriously doubt i could ever afford it or get the time off work, but i sure would like to!! i would really have to work my butt off here at energy fitness in order to keep up with you out there!! i'm still so proud of you for doing this....especially the food part. ur such a picky eater and actually trying things i would be sketchy about!! be very proud of yourself for going on such a big adventure! keep up the blogging!! i love reading it everyday! miss ya!
