Week 4 - Day 26

Today was the best day ever!!!! My parents got here!!!! Oh, first off, breakfast was amazing today!!! It was french toast with baked apples in between and drizzled in this apple sauce stuff with cinnamon. Ohmigosh it was good!!!! Anyway, back to my parents. They showed up at 7:45 today just in time for the hike! Dad and I took off on our hike today. It was Slots, which is always fun!!! We actually ended up doing fast intermediate today! I couldn't BELIEVE I actually kept up with the fast intermediate group!!! I was soooooo excited!!! I was really, really proud of myself! Dad did sooo good. He kicked my ass on the hike! I was really proud of him too! I actually burned more calories on that hike than ever before! 1550!!! I couldn't believe it! After the hike, I gave them the tour and introduced them to everyone which was fun! Then we hung out in my room for a while! After that, they took me to lunch and Subway. After lunch, they went back to the hotel and I went back to FR. All my friends were still at lunch so I joined them and we decided to skip open gym and work on the puzzle! haha we call it burning calories with our brain!!! haha While we were going the puzzle, Al and Kendall were getting all their stuff together to leave. Ohmigosh, when they finally said bye, it was a major tear fest! Ohmigod I cried. It was soooooooo sad!!! I miss my roomie soooooo much already!!!! After that we were too depressed to go to class so we finished the puzzle and went to our rooms. Pathetic, i know! So I didn't exercise at all this afternoon!!! For dinner, my parents and I went to Red Mountain Spa. It's a local spa with a restaurant that has the calories on the menu. I had a steak, mashed potatoes and 2 beers for only 550 calories!!!!! I was soooo excited! The steak was awesome!!!! It felt sooo good to have a steak and beer!!! After dinner, we played Taboo with Chris, Susan, and Clare!!! Ohmigoshhhhhh, we had soooooo much FUN!!! We had a blast!!! I loved it!!!! So, I had the best day ever! I love my parents being here!!!!!

Week 4 - Day 24 & 25

Hey Guys. Sorry I didn't write this yesterday. I was feeling TERRIBLE! Yesterday, I did the 101 hike which was on a road called West Canyon. ON this road, you go your own pace. So, I can go as fast as I want and not have to stay back with the rest. I liked it alot but on the way, I noticed I kept coughing and not feeling well. By the end of the hike, I had to slow my pace waaaay down and I could tell I was not feeling right. We got back and I did the core strength class instead of aquacise. By the end of that class, I was feeling light headed and getting dizzy. I had to sit down at the end. I went to lunch and just felt terrible! I could tell I was getting sick. We went to the park and played doubles tennis with Robin (the instructor) and Chris and Susan. That was really fun. After that, I went to kick boxing and literally couldn't do it. I had to sit down a couple of times and I just knew something was up. So I went to my room for the rest of the day. When I got to dinner, everyone told me I looked terrible. So Clare feels my head and tells me I'm really really warm. So I of course called my momma to see what to do. So, I bought some drowsy cold and sinus medicine, doped up, and went to bed at 8:00. The next day, Thursday (today), I spent the entire day in bed. I did get up and go eat but I came right back and went straight to bed. I didn't start feeling better until after lunch. By dinner, I was feeling a lot better. Hopefully, I'll be back to 100% tomorrow! My parents will be here!!!!! OH- and I got another care package from BETH todayyyyy!!! I was soooo happy since I was feeling sooo shitty!!!!

Week 4 - Day 23

Hey Everyone! Today, again, was a good day! I got up at 6:50 like usual and made it to breakfast at 7:05. We had cranberry muffins so I opted for the cereal. Which was great like usual! I love the cereal. The hike today was Paradise Rim. That is the same hike we did for our first off-road hike ever! My first Tuesday at FR. So, I was thinking that it was going to be pretty easy. I was able to do the hike 3 weeks ago and I'd be good at it. Well, hell! That hike kicked my ass!!! I did burn 1300 calories though! It was so hard! It got me down in the dumps. I've been here 3 weeks already and I really thought I'd be at fast intermediate by now. Hell, I could barely keep up with the regular intermediate. It kind of pissed me off. I'm mad at myself. I know I'm getting stronger. I can feel it. But, I'm just not happy with my hiking. I was planning on being advanced by the time I left. Well, shit, I'm not even at fast intermediate. So, that kind of sucked. And, for some reason, at the end of this hike, I was absolutely wore out. I could barely walk. I was good, oxygen wise, but my my legs and body was just spent. The weather was fantastic today! I was able to hike in just a long john shirt, tee shirt, and pants! And, I was dying from being hot! I never sweat so much on a hike. My sleeves were wet from wiping the sweat off my face! It's supposed to be nice all week so I'm very very happy!!! After the hike, I went back to my room and just laid down.

I went to yoga today instead of the pool. I really need to start going to the pool class. I burn about 150-200 calories more but sometimes I just don't feel like it. Yoga was good. I like the class when Paige teaches it. After yoga, Susan, Chris and I sat outside in the sun until lunch. It felt sooo good to be in the sun! Lunch today was a turkey sandwich which I love!!! OHMIGOSH! At lunch, I got two different packages!!!! I LOOOOOVE packages!! You guys have no idea how good it feels to get stuff in the mail! My momma sent me an awesome cookbook! and Kimmy sent me a ton of stuff! Everyone was jealous!!! They kept telling me how nice my mom is and how lucky I am to get stuff all the time! I was soooooo happy! It was funny. Kim sent me this clapper thing. I am constantly saying, "I'm so excited!" So, I got that clapper out and started clapping it, and said, "I'm so excited"! Well, Chris makes fun of me for saying it all the time because he says I'm always excited, so I told him I was going to carry around the clapper and everytime I get excited, I'll get it out and start clapping it! hahahaha I thought he was going to die! He told me he was going to take it away from me and throw it off a ledge on the hike! hahahaha

After lunch, I went to open gym. Paige took us to the park for tennis! Which I LOVE!!! I literally look forward to that every day! Its supposed to be nice all week so I'm planning on going every day! And, I burn a shit ton of calories. It was so hot today, I was dying!!! The sweat was just pouring off of me. I burned 500 calories playing in only 40 minutes! That's a ton!!! And, I had a blast doing it! That is one thing I plan on doing when I get back home. I'm going to try to find someone to play with! After that, I got back to FR and I got another package! It was my pictures I ordered online! I was soooo happY! I showed them to everyone and pointed out who everyone was! After that was cardio intervals. I normally love that class but I was so pooped out from tennis, I could barely do it! My face was so red from being outside and being hot. I looked pretty scary! I did alright in the class. I still burned 400 which is lower than normal but I was happy. After that was total toning. I also like that class but man, it kills my muscles!! They are screamin by the end!! I burned 330 which is normal. It's not alot because you focus on your muscles and not necessarily raising your heartrate to burn calories.

After that, I skipped stretch so I could shower and look at all my new gifts!!! I loved it! I immediately popped in one of my new Crystal Light packets and chugged it!!! I'm soooo sick of plain water!!!! (Great gift Kimmy!!!!) I looked through my cookbook and hung up all my pictures on my wall. It makes me SOO happy to see pictures of everyone! I love it!! :) That was the best idea I had. I actually patted myself on the back! hahaha I know, I'm cheesy. I went to dinner and it was baked pasta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! I had cheese on it!!!!! Ok, it was soy cheese, but it still was awesome that it was covered in cheese!!!! And, for dessert, was the beloved chocolate covered strawberries!!! Ohmigod those things are good! Susan doesn't like then so I took one of hers! I have to tell ya, by that third one, they were getting really sweet! She actually offered me her 2nd one but I couldn't eat it! Two is the perfect amount! After dinner, I hung out with Chris and Susan for a while sitting out by the pool. It was so nice out! Then, I went to my room and watched biggest loser online and then now I'm watching biggest loser on tv. I love that show.

I'm really happy here. I feel comfortable and I like my all my new friends. I love the people that work here! They are really awesome. But, I'm not extremely happy with my results. I don't know if I expected too much or what. I think I'm expecting too much. But, after working out for 3 weeks, I thought I'd be running circles around people. But, I still struggle every day! I still can't run for shit. But, also, part of that is my fault. I should spend extra time in the gym working out on the treadmill and building myself up. But, my God, after 5-6 hours of exercise, I really don't feel like putting in more time. But, maybe I should. Then, I think I'll try to run on the hikes. Well shit, I'm so tired on the hikes I can barely walk, let alone run. So, I think I need to kick it up a notch. I don't know.. ugh! I'm happy. I'm a lot stronger and I'm totally aware of that. So, I know I should just be happy with that. I was talking to Paige about the hike earlier. I was telling her how I thought I'd be farther. She told me that this week's group is a really fast group so I shouldn't be upset and compare myself to them. So, I know I'm kind of being whiney. But overall, I'm still happy and in a good mood. I'm just going to try to do well this week and we'll see what happens when I get weighed and measured this weekend! Wish me luck for the rest of the week!

Week 4 - Day 22

Well, today I woke up in a great mood!! Breakfast was the egg and english muffin. I ate it. I don't particularly like it but I ate it. Man, I'd pay $20 to get some cheese on that!!! Anyway, today we did Stop Sign. I was really energized and ready to go. I just felt really happy today! I'm half way done and had a great weekend. It got all the crazy cravings out of my system and I'm ready to give it my all! Sooo, on Stop Sign i shaved 3 minutes off my fastest time. So, I'm down to 1 hr 14 min. I'm not making as much progress as I hoped to make. I mean, I literally gave it my all! I guess I still have three more weeks to go. I'd like to do it in under an hour but you have to run most of it and I just don't see that happening. Anyway, it rained AGAIN! UGH! I'm sick and tired of getting wet on that damn hike! Anyway, after the hike, I went to my room to get warm clothes! I talked on the phone to my momma for a while and then I headed to Yoga. We had a new instructor and I hated it! I did not like her at all. After yoga, I hung out with Susan and Chris and we went to lunch. Lunch was these lettuce wraps with something inside. I only ate 2 out of the 3. The soup was turnip something. I only ate half of it. After lunch, I came to my room. I skipped open gym and cleaned my room. It was kind of messy. I went to Circuit Training first. Cameron (the owner) was teaching it. Well, let me tell you, he KICKED my ass! I work hard in there but shit... I'm on the treadmill the second station and he comes over and jacks the incline up to 8! I looked at him, and said, "Are you kidding me?!" and he said, "haven't you been here 3 weeks?" and I said, "Yes" and he replied, "Ok, just give it a try but you can do it" I was like OH SHIT! So, then I get to the eliptical. I'm on level 10. He kicks it up to Level 12 and tells me to keep it above 5.0 mph. Once again, I said, "You've got to be kidding me!" and He just smiles and laughs! So, I did everything he told me to. And, I've got to admit, I burned 150 more calories than I normally do. I burned 550. And, by far, worked harder that time then any other time in that class. So, I guess he knows what he's doing! I did do my walk/run thing on the treadmill and I think it's helping. I really want to be able to run, but, I'm just not a runner. Paige says some people just aren't runners. After that was kickboxing. I can tell I'm already getting better in that class and can do more. When we're supposed to be doing stuff in slow motion, I speed it up. I was dead after that class. I burned another 520 in that class! I skipped gentle stretch so I could mail some stuff and shower before dinner. I ended up talking to Katrina on the phone forever! She made me laugh soooooooo hard!!! ohmigod it was a funny conversation. After that, I went to dinner. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!! It was a barbeque chicken breast! ohmigosh, I thought I died and went to heaven!!!! After dinner, Al, Susan, Chris and I went to Golden Spoon! They made fun of me because I ate my yogurt really slow! I was savoring it! On the way there, I was talking about how I'm in a good mood. And Chris was teasing me asking when I wasn't in a good mood! I thought, Oh buddy.. if you only knew I can be a bitch! but they were all teasing me because I always say "I'm so excited!!!" hahah but today was just a great day!!! I loved it! OH, when I was hiking this morning, Paige walked up and said, "guess what! tomorrow is supposed to be really nice, we're playing tennis, right?!" I was excited. I think she really likes playing tennis with me! So, I guaranteed her I'd be at open gym! So, I'm looking forward to tomorrow!!! I told her about my parents coming! She changed the hike on Friday to Slots because I like it a lot better! I'm in a good mood!!! Now I'm watching the bachelor! I'll talk to you guys later!! Thanks for all the comments! Week 4 - Day 21

Wellll, I survived Vegas! I'm sure a lot of you were worried. But, I made it back in one piece!!! Man, I definitely needed the trip! I'm very happy I went and pleased with the decisions I made while there! I got back and started my laundry. We had lunch at 12:45 like usual. It was chicken salad. I didn't eat most of it. It just wasn't settling well in my stomach. At lunch, Susan suggested doing a puzzle. At first, I was a lil hungover but decided to give it a try. MAN, We had a blast!!! It was sooo fun! We did it in the lobby so it was fun to check out all the new guests coming in. I wanted to laugh and say, "hahahah if only you knew what you were in for!" But, it was fun! Plus, we got to scoop out the newbies! We worked on the puzzle until 430 then split to get ready for dinner. Dinner was pasta. They have pasta every sunday night, which i love!!!! it's soooo good! At dinner, we were telling Chris all (well, not ALL!) our crazy Vegas stories! We were laughing so hard!! He thinks we're crazy!!! After dinner, we finished the puzzle! It was really exciting! Leah (the front desk girl) took our picture with it. She let us leave it up on the coffee table for a couple of days! Everytime we walk by it we comment on how awesome it is! hahaha After the puzzle, I headed back to the room. I booked my parents a plane ticket to come see me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooooooooooo excited!!! I can't wait to see them!!!!!!!! I've told EVERYONE that they're coming!! I can't wait! =)

Ohmigosh! When we were doing the puzzle, Cody handed me a letter. JJ sent me a letter that Brayden wrote me! I literally started crying. It was sooooooooooooooo sweet! I absolutely LOVED IT! It made me sooooooooooooo happy!! I also got a package from Katrina!!! That made me sooooooooo happy! I love care packages!!!

I can't believe 3 weeks are already gone. I'm over half done! It's crazy. You know, while I was in Vegas, I actually missed this place! I kept thinking, I wonder what everyone is doing... It's strange. You kind of grow to like it. And, I'm making the best friends!!! I love everyone so much. My last week is going to be sooo sad! Another thing is they have you on a very strict schedule. Everything is the same, every day, every week. So, when they mix stuff, or change something, it pisses you off! And, throws you completely out of whack. Or, when you get a new teacher, it's just really strange. Well, that's it. They're kinda boring, sorry!!!

Week 3 - Day 19

Hey All! I'm finally getting around to blogging. I've been busy from Vegas!!!!! So, the hike today was Camelback. I was a lil nervous because I thought 101 was hard! But, it went great!!! I did really well and was really proud of myself. I also climbed up this HUGE mountain! Only 2 other guests did it with me. Everyone else was scared! BUT, I did it!!! The other two people that went up with me were guys!! OHmigod!! They took some pictures of me up there so I'll post them! Everyone was cheering me on because I literally flew up the mountain. Fletch told me I climbed it like a cat!!! hahaha I was literally on cloud 9 I was so happy! Clare pulled me aside and told me we're going to skip lunch at FR and grab subway! So, once again, I got very excited! I have been CRAVING subway! So, after the hike, we cleaned up, and headed to VEGAAAAAS!!! We got there at about 1 pm and was at the bar at 2!!! Needless to say, I got drrrrrrrrunk! And, it was VERY fun! That's all I'm going to say about that!

Week 3 - Day 18

Well, today was a good day!! Breakfast was french toast and I took the cereal option. The hike today was a weird one. They said that it was very, very loose rock. Yesterday's hike also had lots of loose rock and it was downhill so it was extra hard on your ankles. Well, I don't even have bad ankles but mine were a lil sore. So I opted for the 101 hike. I know, but I just was in the mood for an easy one. Well, it was great!!! I loved it!!! The trail was really easy, but beautiful. AND, I still burnt 930 calories! I never really got out of breath. Only 2x which was exciting. OMG, we get to the top of this major hill to the overlook. And, this older lady calls everyone over in a group, tells us to strip down and get in a circle. SO, we're all getting kinda scared at this point, like, what the hell is this lady talking about! She says, "we're doing the hokey pokey"! I was like, no way. So we all get in a circle, and by God, we did the entire hokey pokey. It was sooo funny! I was DYING laughing!!!! I loved it!!!!!!! After the hike, I came back to my room and chilled for a little bit. Then, I went to aquacise. That's always a good time! After aquacise, we had lunch. Lunch was a tomato and onion sandwich on wheat ciabatta bread. Well, lets just say the only thing I could eat was the bread. So, I was hungry. After lunch, I went to the park to play tennis with Paige. Once again, SO FUN! It is the highlight of my day! I just love to play tennis! AND, we play really well together. Plus, we rode bikes over there which was fun too! In fact, even Paige told me she looks forward to it! So that made me happy! After that,I had to go straight to treading with NO break! I was beat. As usual, treading was a killer. Pretty much can be defined as pure hell!!! And, if ya ask Danae, "it's only 16 minutes of hard exercise, only 16 minutes"! Well, let me tell ya what, that's BULLLSHIT! I feel bad for the new comers because when she says that, they don't have a CLUE what they're in for. I can't wait until I get back, I'm going to make ALL of you fellow exercisers out there do a treading class! After treading, I came back to my room and made a few phone calls and researched some plane tickets for Mom and Dad. I'm determined to get them out here next weekend, no matter what!!! After that, I went to dinner. We had stuffed chicken with wild rice. I was very excited about this but hell, that chicken breast couldn't of been 2 oz. I mean, it was ridiculous. And, the wild rice wasn't the best. But, it was filling. All i can think about is REAL FOOD!!!!! After dinner, Chris and Susan talked me into hanging out and playing games. I needed to pack for VEGASSS! So, I packed as fast as I could and met them in the lobby. We played Scattergories and it was SOOOO fun!!! We had a blast!!! This guy named Tony also joined us. So we quit doing that and Tony and Susan wanted to get into the hot tub. Well, hell, I can't pass that up! So we got in the hot tub until about 9:30! Finally, I was getting tired and still had to type this up so I jumped out and headed to my room. That was my day! It was a really good and fun day! I'm very happy!

OH yeah! While I'm in the hot tub, Ken is telling me NOT to go to Vegas. He thinks its too early for me and I'll undo what I've already done. So, I'm pretty much scared shitless. We all know I love to eat when I'm drunk. AND, I've been having these ridiculous cravings for real food. OH DEAR GOD!!!! Now, I'm feeling really guilty and I want to back out! I just don't think I can handle it. It's too early. Susan and I talked about coming home on Saturday and not staying Saturday night. But, I don't know if she'll still want to do that... I don't know.. I'm freaking out!!! You know when I get nervous and talk about a mile a minute and ramble.. that's what I'm doing right now inside my head! UGH! Wish me luck!

Week 3 - Day 17

Hey All!!! Soooooooo today was another good day! It didn't start off so hot. I got to breakfast and it was a fruit and yogurt parfait. It was just alright. It's soy yogurt and it's good, but nothing spectacular! We went on the hike today and it sucked! I went with the regular intermediate (NOT FAST) and I had to jog to keep up with them. I was about dead by the end! We did climb up this MASSIVE big rock and took some awesome pictures so that's good. AND, I didn't like my group much besides Maria. I really like her. The hike was just kind of shitty. Plus, it was really cold! We got back and I took a lil nap which was much needed. Besides, it takes me a while to warm back up. I have to change all my clothes because they're wet with COLD sweat and it's miserable! Went to core stretch today which sucked. Lunch was Asian Pizza. That was actually pretty good. It had chicken on it so I was stoked!!!! But, it had all kinds of crazy stuff on it. So I just picked alot off and then just ate without looking! The soup was squash soup and i couldn't even choke it down!! Oh God it was bad. Even Chris didn't eat his and he'll eat anything! So for open gym, I went to the Q&A session instead of the park. And, this secretly made me happy! Robin, one of the instructors, was the person going to the park. And, when she saw me walk into the Q&A room, she was like, "What?! Your not going to the park? I was hoping we'd play tennis again!" That made me happppy! So I explained to her that I really wanted to listen to the questions but I'd definitely go any other time she wanted to go. So after that was kickboxing again! I'm so glad they offer kickboxing 2x a week now. That is an awesome workout! I was cold all day so I had on a long john shirt under my teeshirt. Well, hell, I quickly got warmed up and the sweat was just pouring off me! After kickboxing was Circuit Training. Now, that class... I'm just now sure what I think about it. It is one of those workouts where you get out of it only what you put in. I can go through the entire class and not break a sweat and burn 300 calories. Orrrr, you can give it your all and work like crazy and burn 450. Well, I've decided I've got to get over my fear of the treadmill and start running. So, I walked in there thinking, I'm giving this my all. Well, hell... I was dead by the end of it! I can't run for very long.. I get out of breath soo easily. So I've started walking fast the first minute on the treadmill and then run the second. Well, I love it! It works out great!!! And, it's helping me with this running delima. So, I burnt about 460 in that class, which I was happy about. So, the morning sucked for me but the afternoon was great! After that I skipped stretch so I could shower. So, I showered and went to dinner. Dinner was a salmon patty which I don't eat. So I ordered the boca burger which I LOVE!!! and they had Israeli cous cous. Which I have NO clue what that is but it's pretty damn good. It's like little, solid, circle noodles. and I love me some noodles! It was strange. We skipped dessert and went to the Golden Spoon!!!! Man, that place is awesome!!!! I had cake batter which is amazing and it's only 88 calories! His dessert was 150! After Golden Spoon we went shopping again for Vegas! I finally got everything I need so I'm good to go!!! I'm sooo excited about Vegas!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I need to get outta this place! I hope I can handle my late night food cravings and my next day hungover cravings for grease!!

Week 3 - Day 16

Welp, today was a little of both good and bad. I started out in a great mood. Breakfast was an egg mcmuffin, which consisted of eggs, turkey bacon and an english muffin. As usual, it kind of upset my stomach. Like an idiot, I still eat it. We took off on the hike and it was muddy as hell. About 5 minutes into the hike, i'm tromping through mud, can barely walk, and am thinking "this is crazy"!!! So thank God, three people in front of me decided to turn back and go to the gym and I quickly jumped on the bandwagon. So we walked back to FR. Instead of going straight to the gym, I cleaned my shoes, did some laundry and made some phone calls. I finally made it to the gym and only burnt 500 calories. That pissed me off because I usually burn between 1100-1300 on the hikes. But, oh well! I did yoga today instead of the pool. It was alright. It's pretty easy with mostly stretching. I hardly burn anything in that class. I know I should of went with the pool but it's soooo cold out! After that was lunch. It was a turkey sandwich which was delicious as usual!!! The soup was french onion. I didn't really like it. I only ate the bread from the top. After lunch, we went to the park and I played tennis with Paige (an instructor). We had a blast!!!!!!! I burned 450 calories in 30 min of playing with a 10 min cool down. To me, that is just aboslutely crazy!!! After tennis, I was completely wore out and had to go straight to cardio intervals. AND, since I wasn't there early, I was stuck on the treadmill. I avoid that damn treadmill at all costs. Well, It completely KICKED my ass!!!! I burnt 515 in that class. After that was total toning, which I like. I only burnt probably 350 calories but my muscles were'a screaming!!!! Tuesday is probably my favorite workout day. After all that, we had dinner. It was shepard's pie. OHMIGODDDDDDDD it was soooooooo GOOD!!!! i loved it and was soooooo full afterwards! Then for dessert was CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES!!!! like usual, they were amazing! After dinner, Clare, Susan and I went shopping for VEGASSSSSSSSS! Which I'm estatic about!!! I bought the most pimp shoes and purse!!!! Although, I was sooooo tired I had no energy to shop! Which is NOT like me, I know!!! Tonight was the biggest loser and I was scared about missing it. So Clare told me that on channel 3 it doesn't start until 8. So, we got back about 8:30. I turn it on and it doesn't start until 9. Well, Hell!!! There is no way I can stay awake until 11!!! So I'm pissed. I'm tired!!! ALSO, my lovely mother sent me a care package today!!!!!!!!! it was soooooo exciting! I love care packages!!!! :) They fly to Florida tomorrow! I'm jealous! Week 3 - Day 15

Hey Everyone!!! I had a great day today!!! I got up and had cereal for breakfast. We did Stop Sign today for our hike. It was a killer as usual. I didn't beat my time this time.. I went over by a minute. That sucks a lot and kind of upset me but I got over it. Everyone has an off day, right?! Well, after stop sign I did the pool class. I burnt 550 calories so I was happy about that. After the pool class was lunch. We had chili and cornbread which was awesome!!! The chili had allll kinds of crazy things in there! It was strange but good! After lunch, I went to open gym. After open gym was circuit training and kick boxing. I feel like I did really well in both classes!!! I just gave it my all!!! AND, I was in a really good mood all day today!!! After those two classes, I went to the stretch. We got out early so I got to shower before dinner which was awesome!!! AND THEN!!!! I got to dinner and we had CHICKEN AND MASHED POTATOES!!!! I was sooooooo happy! I literally kept eating and saying "i'm so excited!" hahaha so during dinner, Al kept talking about going to Vegas again. Well, I told them the next vegas trip, I'm not missing out on!! So, I got back to my room and cleaned up a lil and in comes Al. With Clare and Susan in tow. They sit down and tell me "We're all going to Vegas this weekend!!!!" Of course, my response is "SWEEEEEET!!!! I'm game!" So, we go up to Chris's room and he gets worried just when he sees us all standing at his door. hahahaha and we're all laughing and tell him he has to go with us!!! But, he's really nervous. He knows how crazy we are! haha so he's going to tell us tomorrow! BUTTTT, I'm soooooo excited!!! I definitely needed a weekend away!! Plus, this will help with my beer cravings!!! hahahahaha So anyways, long story short, today was a great day!!! And, I'm going to VEGAS!!!!!!

Anyone wanna send me a care package? I want some crystal light fruit punch individual packets for water bottles! i'm craving something besides freaking water!!

OH- I need someone to go to Benton and check on my DVR!!! Oh Grovesie!!!!!!!!!!! *hint*hint* Call me and I'll tell you what I want you to do!

Week 2 - Day 14

12:00 pm

Here are the results. I got weighed and measured this week. I'm happy with the 5.5 pounds! I had a very "tired" week and actually skipped some classes. This week I am determined to NOT be tired and NOT skip any classes! But, I'm not happy with the measurements. I felt like I should of done better. I'm really pissed about my calf inches. I'm determined to wear them cowboy boots! ALSO, I'm bored and CRAVING restaurant food like Texas Roadhouse or Outback. I'm so bored I'm imagining restaurant meals. Oh God I'm pathetic. Plus, it didn't help the fact I was talking to Bob and he was telling me about the big steak he's going to eat at Texas Roadhouse. UGH! I miss home!!! I wish I could come home just for the weekend! Or see someone from home!! I miss my friends and family!!!

7:15 pm

So I wrote the first part at about noon and I was really bored and really hungry! After I finished writing, I went down to lunch at 12:15. I ran into Susan and she said everyone was going to the movies again at 3:00. I was very happy about that! I LOVE movies!!! I got back to my room and cleaned it! I refolded all my clothes, picked up and put away, so everything was good to go when Al got back! Then, I got ready and met everyone in the lobby. We got to the movies and Maria bought everyone's movie pass! I couldn't believe it!!! We saw Gran Torino and it was a very different movie. It was very good but very different. Ohmigod, at the end, I was crying! Not just sniffling but the tears were flowing! It was sooo sad!!! OH, and lunch today was terrible!!!!! It was a tuna sandwich and a granola bar with fruit. I didn't eat the tuna. All I ate was a granola bar and an orange. Do you know how it feels to walk into a movie theater HUNGRY with the smell of butter popcorn??? Let me tell you, it's pure hell!!!! Picture this: Summer time, HOT, Friday afternoon at 5:00, and your co worker walks up with a cooler full of ice cold beer! Opens it, drinks, sighs from the great taste, and wont give you one! That's pretty much how it feels to walk into that damn theater hungry and you can't eat! So by the end of the movie, I could NOT wait to get back to FR to eat!!! Tonight they had PASTA!!!!!!!!!!!! Man o man, it was soooooooo good!!!! I was in heaven! I will definitely be making that when I get home! Now, I'm back in my room. My roomie, Al, got home from Vegas and she was telling me the crazy stories that I missed. I was sooo jealous!! I'm glad I didn't go but it sounded sooo fun!! So, I think I'm an alcoholic. I want a beer so bad I cannot take it!!! Literally, I'm drooling. I swear, I would pay $100 for a Miller Lite RIGHT NOW!!! Anyway, I had a great day!!! It was really fun but I would do anything for a beer! OH, if anyone wants to send me a care package, I need a new fingernail clippers and some travel size q tips!

Week 2 - Day 13

Hey Everyone! I just thought I'd update you! I just had the absolute best day! It was so fun!!! After I updated you last, I went to lunch and it was hummus. It was so garlicy it was pretty gross. I didn't like the soup either. So I didn't eat hardly anything which is good because I saved my calories for dinner tonight! I did eat some hummus on the pitas so I allowed myself 200 extra. The soup is usually 100-125 and that leaves 300 for the hummus, salad, and pitas. I figured most of the calories were in the wheat pitas so I just allowed myself an extra 200. So, after lunch, I sat next to Susan. We have kinda started talking and she's really cool. I like her alot. She's going to be here another 4 weeks like me. She also said she would LOVE to go snow skiing with me so I'm very excited about that!!! Anyway, after lunch, she wanted to play a board game. So, we got to the lobby and Chris was walking through and we got him to play with us! We played scrabble and I won!!!! I was so excited!!! After Scrabble, we played Rummikub which wasn't much fun. So, by then it was about 3:15 and we had to be ready at 4:45 for dinner. We all went back to our rooms and layed down for a bit. We all met in the lobby for our big dinner out at Chuck-A-Rama which I love!!! I had 700 calories to eat!!! Chris and I decided we wanted frozen yogurt so we had to save 88 calories for that. I ate a TON of turkey which was soooooooo good! Plus, I had salad with REAL cheese and ranch dressing! ohmigod it was amazing!!! So after dinner, we went to the movies and saw He's Just Not That In To You!!! It was SOOOOO GOOD! I loved it. In fact, I teared up at the end!!! It's really cute! After the movies, we got frozen yogurt! It was soooo good! And Chris bought all our yogurts! It was soooo sweet!!! I told Chris we have to come here all the time! It was waaaaay better than Chef Cameron's desserts! AND less calories! So, after the frozen yogurt we got back to FR and I made everyone get in the hottub. Oh man, It was sooooo fun!!!! We had the best conversations. Trevor joined us for a while which was fun. Everyone talked about relationships and all kinds of stuff. But, everyone has been talking about alcohol ALL day/night. Its been terrible! I'm craving a Miller Lite so bad I tried to bribe Trevor!!! Not gonna lie, it's a lil strange being in a hottub late at night sober!!! Anyway, we all got out at about midnight and now I'm back in my room. I just had the best day. It was very very fun and relaxing. I really like it here!!! Bye everyone!

Week 2 - Day 13

Welp, It's rest time!!! I'm done with exercise until Monday morning!!! Thank God! This week has been hard! I've been in good spirits emotionally and mentally but my body has just been exhausted! I feel like I have no energy at all and I've been taking my electrolytes. But, I'm taking these days off for rest and hopefully next week will be great! I can't believe 2 weeks are already down! I'm happy its going by fast because I miss home!!!

So today I got up a lil late. I didn't get up until 6:50 but I made it to breakfast by 7:10. We hiked at 8:00 am. I chose the West Canyon trail instead of stop sign. I was SO excited! I made it all the way to the end!!! That's 8 miles round trip!!! I did it in an hour 50 min. I know that seems like a long time but I was very excited I made it to the end and back! I wasn't worried about making it but you only have 2 hours. I was so tired by the end. But, I did burn 1400 calories in that time frame which I was happy about!!! Breakfast was cereal which made me happy! But, I swear, on the Saturdays that they serve cereal, they give you less than the cereal during the week.

Anyway, lunch today is hummus, which im dreading! So I'm not going to eat much today so I can eat more tonight at dinner!!! After dinner, we're going to Golden Spoon for dessert and then to the movies!!! I'm excited I get to wear real clothes!!!

I'm bored and I miss all my friends!!!!!!!! I wish someone would come see me! =( The weekends suck! Although, I don't feel like doing anything anyway. I just want to be around my people. Okay, enough pity party! Things are good and tomorrow I get weighed and measured!!!

Week 2 - Day 12

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate all of you guys reading my blog and commenting!!! I look forward to reading the comments every night!!

Anyway, I woke up today at 6:30 like usual. Today's hike was called Slots. I went with the medium intermediate group like usual. We took off hiking like usual. Well, we get to one of the slots and people start to go in it. Well, I'd already been in so I stayed outside. Well, the fast intermediate group took off walking and the lovely guide Sandy, says, "Well Bets, go join them!" I was like, "uhhhh, I don't think so" So Sandy assures me that my group will be coming along soon so just take off with fast group. So I follow them and actually can keep up with them!!!! So Deb came from the front to the back and joined me which made me really happy! I love her so much!!! So she hiked with me for a while. Well, by this time, I am absolutely dying. We get to a stopping place and Paige tells everyone that if they need a break, they can hang back and join the slower group! I'm thinkin, "Thank GOD!!! I cannot keep up with these people." So, I sit down and good ol Deb comes up and makes me keep going!!! Uggghhh! We get to the birth canal. It this area between the rocks that is very very small. I'm talking so small you can barely walk through. You have to slide on your ass in some parts, jump down a 5 foot drop, crawl on your hands and knees, rock climb, etc. I mean, it's crazy! But, man, once you get through it, the view is absolutely amazing!!! So, then, to get back through you have to do everything again. Oh God, I thought I was dying. Anyway, so after the birth canal, we get going again. We join up with the medium intermediate group and I joined them. The fast intermediate was kickin my ass! So, all in all, the hike was awesome! I did a lot better than I thought. I actually kept up with the fast intermediate for a while!!! After the hike, I was miserable. I was so sweaty and then your sweaty clothes get cold from the weather and it's miserable. SO, I was so tired from the hike and cold and miserable, I got to my room and layed down. We cranked the heat to 85, and i had 3 blankets on and could not get warm! i was miserable!

Lunch today was carrot soup which sucked and a tostata. The tostata was pretty good!! Just a little modification and it'd be great. I plan on making them when I get home. So this afternoon was Circuit training and hip hop. I skipped the hip hop and did double circuit training. I did skip gentle stretch because I wanted to shower before dinner. I went to dinner and they had stuffed peppers. Well, I didn't want a stuffed pepper so I asked for a boca burger. I am falling in love with them!!! I am definitely eating them when I get home. It had a lil bit of barbeque sauce on it. AND, corn on the cob!!! I was so excited!! Dinner was awesome! We also had our weekly slideshow which is always fun! After dinner, I went to the lobby and Cody talked me into buying these sweet new shoes!!!! They're trail runners and great for hiking! I'm so excited! I was going to wait until I had a bad day to buy them but Cody said they only had one left in my size! So, I just had to buy them! After that, I came back to my room and I'm watching Baby Mama. I'm bored as hell and it's a Friday night!! I want a beer so bad I can't take it!!!

Week 2 - Day 11

Hey Everyone!! Today was a really good day!! I woke up at 6:30 as usual and stumbled to breakfast. Today, for the hike, Miss Lady and I opted for a trail that was pretty straight, but long. So we didn't go off-road today. The game plan was to go hard and fast and not talk. Well shit, we all know me. That's pretty impossible. So, we take off and start talking. Well, we just had the absolute best time!!! and the best conversations!!! We hiked about 6 miles and I burned 1420 calories! Which I thought was really good considering we talked alot!!! So that put me in a great mood!

After the hike, I was walking back to my room to take a nap before aquacise and Al, Claire, and Kendall were yelling at me from the hot tub. So, I ran and put my suit on and jumped in before aquacise! It felt sooooo good! Now, when it was time to jump in the pool, it was NOT feelin too good! The water was really cool from being in the hot tub first. After aquacise, it was pretty cold so Danae let us stetch in the hottub so that was nice. Lunch was a BLT and I took off the tomatoes but ate everything else. We had this tortilla soup. OMG it was soooo spicy I literally drank 3 glasses of water with it! After lunch, I went to my room to lay down. I ended up talking to Grovesie on the phone all the way through open gym so I missed that! But, it's been such shitty weather..

Anyway, after I talked to her for a while then went to the dreaded treading... i tell ya.. that class is an absolute killer!!!! ughhhh! After we finished the class, Danae said, I'll give anyone a candy bar if they want to repeat this class. Of course, everyone was like HELL NO! that class sucks! She said, just some food for thought... I don't think those candy bars are worth it.. Wow, that makes so much sense! At the buffet Saturday night, I was craving mac n cheese. Well, I got a tiny scoop (maybe 3 bites) and Emily (the dietician) told me it was 100 CALORIES! I about died.. So, I didn't eat it. I chose other stuff and got a lot more food for 100 calories. So, it's all about choices.

after that, I had ball works with Robin. As usual, she's a hard ass.. but very effective!! Then I went to gentle stretch. i skipped it yesterday and was really sore today. So i think that's why i was sore. so after stretch, i was so relaxed i fell asleep in the aerobics room. i woke up just in time for dinner and it was salmon patties. i opted for a boca burger and it was GREAT! I really like boca burgers! after dinner, i came home, took a shower and am doing laundry. I popped in the movie "Mad Money" and i'm just layin here waiting for my laundry to get done.

So I just changed my laundry. AND, it's freeezing out!! I'm dying here! It's supposed to rain and snow tomorrow!!! Yuck! But overall, I had a great day and I'm in a great mood. I didn't burn as many calories as usual but oh well. I'm excited that it's almost the weekend!!! Too bad I don't have any plans :( haha

Week 2 - Day 10

So, today, I did NOT want to get out of bed. I contemplated skipping the hike and sleeping in. But, then I realized I burn a ton more calories on the hike. So, I'd rather hike and then nap. Breakfast was hot cereal which I heard was TERRIBLE. So, I went for the cereal. Once again, really good! I just love the cereal. Today, It had dry strawberries in it and my heart did a lil leap inside! Man I love strawberries. I have to tell you about this strange girl. She's older than me, probably 28-30 and she says "tragic" all the time. It's very strange. Last night at dinner, they ran out of green tabasco sauce. and she says, "uggghh, that's SO tragic!" She's from louisville, ky so I was talking about the farm show. She mentioned that the Derby is also really fun. Then she said, "yeah, it's a party for a month straight! When the month is over, it's so tragic" I'm like, what the hell is up with the world TRAGIC!!! Then, this morning on the way back from the hike in the van, they were talking about massages. She says, "massages are NOT splurges. They're a necessity. I mean, to not have a massage after all this hiking is just tragic!" ohmigodd I'm about to freak out! This girl is just crazy! So I just thought I would share that!!!

It's time for either pool or core strength. (Gosh, I'm an idiot. I could not figure out how to spell strength. I had to look it up like an idiot!) Anyways, I'm frozen to the bone cold and can't decide. I just want to lay in bed. I think I have officially hit "THE WALL". I'm in a pissy mood! I do NOT want to exercise!

8:45 pm

"THE WALL" is the day where you are really tired and just feel like you have no energy. Well, I never really had that until today. Man, today was a bad day. After I wrote the first part, I went to Core Strength and it was alright. It was kind of hard but an effective class. It taught you how to correct your incorrect posture and walk. It also teaches you how to hold in your core muscles to stay more balanced and strong in your mid section. Yeah, it was a bitch. Then, I was pissed because I passed up on the pool and everyone told me how great it was. So that made me even more mad.

I went to lunch and by this point, I can barely stay awake. I'm so tired and I feel like shit. I have a long john shirt, a tee shirt, and a sweatshirt on and I'm freezing and CAN NOT get warm. I'm absolutely miserable. Not to mention this afternoon is my least favorite class. So, lunch was this soup that was not great. It was called parsnip. I don't even know what parsnip is. I ate about half of it. Then, we had pizza. It was good but nothing is tasting good. So, after lunch, one of the trainers Robin and I walked to the park to play tennis. That was really really fun!!! I LOVED IT! I'm going to try to get someone to do that with me every day. AND, you burn a shit ton of calories. I burned 350 in just 20 minutes of playing. My heartrate avg for that 20 min was high enough to be considered anaerobic and not just in the fat burning zone so I was very happy! After I got back from the park, I took a nap and skipped a class. Yeah, I know.. it was terrible but I felt soooo tired and bad. Well, I tried to nap but never got asleep. I woke back up at 3:30 and went to circuit training. After circuit training was the gentle stretch. I skipped it and went to take a shower. You don't burn any calories in that class, it just helps loosen and stretch the muscles from the day. I wanted to take a shower and get clean because we planned a game night tonight and I wanted to be clean for that.

So I went to dinner. Dinner was called Cafe Salad. Basically they lay a tortilla or burrito shell in a bowl then pile lettuce, rice, beans, and chicken in it and put a dressing on it. It was actually pretty good. You guys would die.. I'm actually eating lettuce all the time. I'm not loving it but it's growing on me. I was so excited just to have CHICKEN!!! It was real chucks of big chicken!!! I thought it was Thanksgiving! haha anyways, after dinner we played outburst which was really fun. I made Chris promise to hang out with me this weekend since everyone is leaving me for Vegas. I got home at about 8:45 and i'm exhausted. I can't wait to go to bed. I certainly hope I feel better tomorrow because this sucks. I'm dragging ass... If I don't feel any better tomorrow, or have more energy, I dunno what I'm going to do. I can't possibly need more sleep. I'm asleep every night by 9:30 and don't get up until 6:30. That's 9 hours!!! What is wrong with me??? UGH!

Anyway, I'm starting to really like this place and feel really comfortable here. So, lets hope this shitty feeling goes away. OH yeah, tomorrow it's supposed to SNOW again... Ugh if it does, I swear, I'm NOT getting out of bed! I'm definitely NOT hiking in the snow, sleet and rain again!!!

OH, I also forgot to mention, I got my first care package!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks my grovesie!!!! Everyone "oohed and ahhed" over the card!!!! It made me feel special =)

Week 2 - Day 9

Hey Guys!! Well, I'm in a great mood right now so be prepared, this might be a long one!!! haha Well, I woke up today and went to breakfast. It was a whole wheat muffin again like last week. I opted for the cereal since it's sooo good! Today was our hike at 8:00 like usual. I was really torn between 101 and intermediate. Last week, we did 101 all week but it got broke into 2 groups and we were pretty fast. But, I wasn't sure about the new people this week. I was really scared I couldn't keep up. Well, Al (my roommate) told me there was no way I was doing 101. She said it was time to step it up and go intermediate. Chris told me the same thing. We all gather in the lobby like usual and it's time to break into groups. Well, I freak and decide I can't do intermediate. Chris and Al freak out on me and tell me I have to do intermediate!! So I run up to Deb (a hiking guide) and ask her advice. She says "absolutely, you're definitely doing intermediate." So, I suck it up and head out on the intermediate hike. Oh man, I did awesome!!!!!!! There was the fast intermediate and I was right behind them!!! Now, I wasn't with them but I was ahead of everyone else!!! OMG, I was soo happy. I had the best chat with Deb (a hiking guide). I like her sooo much!! She made me feel sooo good and kept me pumped up the whole time! It was just a great hike! And, I burned 1375 calories! Isn't that amazing.. that many calories in only 2 hours. This woman is 55 and runs 20 miles straight!!! She gets up at 5:00 before the 8:00 am hike and runs 20 miles straight!!! Then hikes, then swims for an hour!! That is just crazy!! and go figure, she's tiny!!! So, after the hike, I was feeling great!!! Energized and ready to go!

We get back from the hike and we have some free time. So I hit my bed and just layed downa nd relaxed for about 30 minutes. I talked to my roomie for a while. It's time for aquacise! Wellll, It's really cold out buttttt Miss Lady told me that it'd be fine! The water is like bath water. So, I go for it. Jump in the water and it feels great. Welllllll, we didn't factor in the wind!! Ohmiiiiiiiiigosh it was soooo cold. That wind was just a killer. My ears were red and frozen!!! It was so bad even Sharon the hardass let us quit early. So we all RAN to the hot tub and we finished stretching in the hot tub. And that was good!!! But, I only burned about 350 cal.

It's lunch time!!! and, I'm HUNGRY!!! I haven't been getting hungry but I was today! I found out lunch was a turkey sandwich!!!!!! ohmigod, music to my ears!!!! I was soooo happy! So we ate lunch and then went to open gym. I was also excited about that because I talked to Paige and we got to go to the park. Kendall and I played tennis and it was really fun! Plus I burned 486 cal! AND, it was FUN!!!! After we got back from the park we had to go straight to Cardio Intervals. I was really pumped for that class. I like it and previously, I felt like I did really well calorie wise!! So, I get my watch going and I busted my ass. I mean, I went balls to the wall. And, I only burned 450 calories. That was pretty upsetting. Most classes I burn about 500+ and dont work that hard... But, oh well. The next class was total toning. I like that class but mannnnnnn, do your muscles BURN!!! ughhhh! I went up 1 pound with the weights and was definitely feeling it. My muscles were screaming!!!! I burnt 450 calories in that class also. That made me even more mad about Cardio Intervals because the sweat was POURING off of me. My entire back was wet. In total toning, I sweat but it was nothing like Cardio Intervals. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do something different. After those two classes, I went to gentle stretch like normal. I got sooo relaxed I just slept in there on the mat instead of going back to my room before dinner. Haha! I went to dinner and it was lasagna. The lasagna was pretty good. I picked out all the mushrooms. There was all kinds of crazy shit in there. I just close my eyes and eat, I don't really try to figure it out. Dessert was .................... CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhhmigosh! It was heaven! AND, it was real chocolate! holy cow! haha!! After dinner I came right home and took and shower and climbed into bed. We're watching The Biggest Loser right now! Well, that was my day! I was kind of tired all day. I kept yawning and didn't have a ton of energy. So, I'm hoping I go right to sleep tonight so tomorrow will be great! This really is a great thing! I just wish all of you guys could come join me! Steph and Sarah, you guys would just absolutely love this!!!! Especially you Steph, because you like to take classes.

So here are some interesting tid bits.

I had two different people tell me they think my complexion is getting better so that is definitely a good thing! I can't tell but they seem to think so!

My roomie and Claire are going to Vegas but I passed it up! Can you believe it?! Betsey, passing up the opportunity to lay up drunk for 2 days. Well, I just didn't trust myself. I didn't want to undo all the good I've been doing for the past two weeks. Plus, it'd throw off my sleeping patterns and I'd hungover on Sunday. I just didn't think it was a good idea. And, I'm proud of myself for making the right decision!!!

I was talking to Deb about my Vegas decision and how everyone was going but me. She was so nice! She said, "well, if I wasn't going out of town this weekend, I'm come pick ya up and we'd go do something!" That just meant a lot to me!

My windburnt rash went away this morning when I woke up. BUT, it came back between the hike and the pool. It was so windy and cold today. I hiked with a longjohn shirt, tee shirt, sweatshirt, ear band and my hood pulled up! MAN, It was chilly!!

Today I woke up with a new attitude. I'm going to make it through this week ALONE. I mean, I really need to work on the fact that I hate to be alone. I'm definitely still making friends, but when it comes to exercising, I'm going to push myself and quit socializing. Last week was amazing and I loved the hikes when we joked around the whole time. And, I have made friends with new people and I like chatting with them at dinner. But when it comes to exercising, I'm going to focus on exercising and me, not getting to know everyone else. So, today was another Stop Sign day. I was determined to beat my time. I really wanted to beat it by 10 minutes but I realize that is a stretch. Well, I popped in my iPod and took off full speed. I only beat it by 4 minutes but they tell me that's really good. I tried my hardest but that's all I had in me. Which is okay, I have five more weeks to keep beating it. So that was the hike and I burned 1500 calories in just those 2 hours! Isn't that crazy?! So, the last 15 minutes going up the hill, it started snowing. They were the huge, wet flakes. The temp dropped like crazy and it was freezing!! I started back down the hill like a trooper and after about five minutes, I was soaked to the bone. The wind picked up and I was FREEZING. I bet I walked another 20 minutes soaked to the bone with the wind blowing like crazy. Snow started sticking to me. Ohmigod it was HORRIBLE. A FR van drove by and I got so excited but they were full and they LEFT ME!!! ohmigod, I almost started crying. It was absolutely miserable. Anyway, I finally got to a parking lot and a van came to get me. I got back to my room and just layed down and piled on the blankets. It was terrible. This happened two weeks ago and four people got the flu! I'm praying I don't get sick!!!

Anyway, needless to say, I did NOT do aquacize today. I did yogalates. I didn't really like it much. I also only burnt 400 calories when normally in aquacize I burn about 550.

Time for lunch! We had minestrone soup which was pretty good and a burrito. I honestly couldn't finish it! I was really full. I didn't like the burrito very much. Once again, no meat. But it was stuffed full of rice, chives, and God knows what else! After lunch, I didn't have to attend a lecture!!!! That was awesome but I did have to go to open gym since I didn't make it to the 6:00 am one. So I did that until 2:30. Then we had Circuit training and kickboxing. Man, those classes killed me. I burned about 550 calories in both classes. I was glad to be done for the day. I didn't sleep well last night and was tired ALL day!!! So we had gentle stretch and then dinner. Dinner was chicken and this strange potato salad. I didn't like the potato salad but I forced about half of it down. I loved the chicken like normal.

After dinner, I was still freezing from the hike this morning. I hit the hottub and then hit the shower. I'm watching the Bachelor now and about to fall asleep!

So my roommate Al and Claire are going to Vegas this weekend!! They asked me to go with them and I was planning on it. THEN, I started thinking, this is really going to throw me off. I just don't think it's a good idea. It's too early. I'm going to drink a ton, spend a TON of money, and gain weight. The second week is hard enough, according to The Biggest Loser. I just dont think I can handle it. So, I think I'm going to stay here in good ol Utah. What do you guys think?

OH- I forgot to tell you. My face it bright red and WIND BURNT from today! I look like I have a huge rash on my lower face. I look so terrible I almost cried :( The reason I can tell it's from the hike today is my forehead is clear where I had my headband!!! I'm so pissed. It better go away tonight!

Day 7 - again!

So, I know I already talked about today but I'm in much better spirits now and just wanted to talk about it. I went to dinner today at 5:30 like usual. I decided I was going to sit at the "senior table" at Katrina calls it! hahaha It's the area of the dining room where all the people who have been there for multi-weeks sit. I walked over to sit and Al (my roommate) says "Here Betsey.. I saved you a seat"!!! oh man, that was like music to my ears! I was sooo happy that I was being included. So, I sat down and ate with everyone and just joined in like I was part of the crew. It went great and I feel soo much better about everything. I miss my NC girls like crazy but I have to make new friends (even though NO ONE will replace you 2!!!) So they play the slideshow with all our pics from last week and pic flashes up of Katrina and Teresa. Al leans over and says "aww Bets there's your girls!" Anyway, dinner went great and I talked to everyone. All the newbies introduced themselves. There isn't any young people this time. I told myself that I'm going to be really nice and talkative to everyone because I hated it when there was certain guests that wouldn't talk to me or help me feel welcome! Tonight dinner was warm pasta salad. The pasta was a lil chewy. I think it needed to be cooked more. There was some meat in there but I have no clue what kind. There was also peas, mini tomato things, and some other stuff. Overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I liked it. Dessert was kinda gross so I skipped it and figured I'd just save the calories. No use in eating it if I didn't like it, right?! So, I'm sitting after dinner and Danae walks up and asks if I got my card. I had no clue what she was talking about. Well, someone left me a card!!! So immediately I run to the front desk and Katrina got me a singing card and wrote me the NICEST, SWEETEST, FUNNIEST note! So I took it back to my room and it made me cry!!! Man, I'm a lil cry baby. I feel like Mark from The Biggest Loser! But overall, I'm in very good spirits and excited about this next week!!! I'm actually ready for this and looking forward to it!!! Next weekend my roomie and Claire are going back to Vegas. I'm hoping for an invite!!! Well, I just wanted to write again and actually be in a good mood. I know these have been pretty sappy lately and I'm sorry. But, I have to admit, by writing this all down, It's really helping me get it all out. I really appreciate all you guys being there for me!!
