So, at 8:00 am, it's time for our hike. The "Stop Sign" hike is a paved trail all the way. You do that hike every Monday and Saturday. On Tuesday-Friday they take you off roading... Unfortunately, not on ATV's.. they actually make you walk it! So they have 4 groups.. Advanced, Fast Intermediate, Slow Intermediate, and 101 for beginners. I'm talking it over with Teresa & Katrina (The NC girls) because we all finished stop sign at about the same time. We definitely weren't close to the fastest but there was several that finished after us. So, we're feeling brave and we go for Slow Intermediate. Well, we head out on the hike and we kind of break away from the other intermediates because we're (of course) slower. well, our wonderful hiking guide GETS US LOST!!! I mean, takes us down a hill, says "oooops wrong way" and we turn around and go back up! Teresa and I were doing alright but poor Katrina was sooooo tired and going up and down the hill the wrong way was not making it any better. I felt soooo bad for her so I was constantly yellin and hollerin' "YOU CAN DO IT!! COME ON!!! Just trying to be nice.. I know how it is when you think you're gonna die.. This realllllly hot guy named Fletcher was with us. He called it research. Basically, he's thinking about working for Fitness Ridge so he came with us to see if he liked it. Well, finally, it got so bad, they had to send Cody (another hiking guide) to get us. Well, Cody saved the day and we ended up only hiking an extra 30 min but very very frustrating. I thought Katrina was gonna punch Marjorie (the guide that got us lost)!
We were sooooooo tired. You usually get about 15-20 min quick break to change and take a min before the next class. Well, since we were late, we had to hurry and we were EXHAUSTED! so aquacise was a lil rough but felt sooooo good on my sore muscles! After aquacise, everyone jumps in the hottub. It feels AMAZING. So we were all looking forward to it since we were so tired from hiking, but what do ya know! Its off limits due to maintenance! OH, I was soooo mad! Lunch was this god-awful tasting, couldn't choke it down, soup called golden beets. It was terrible. Then, the trumpets started blaring, "HALLELUJAH!" They come out with Turkey lunch meat sandwiches!!! i was sooooooooo happy!!!!
After lunch, we had a lecture, but I can't remember what it was about. After the lecture, it was time for the 3 hours of exercise!!! YAAAY!! By this point, I want to die. I'm stiff from lunch and in sooo much pain. The first class is cardio intervals. I actually really liked it!! I have never sweat so much in my entire life. My shirt was soaked! Just like those people on the Biggest Loser. I asked Paige (the teacher) for a copy of it so I can do it at home. Steph, I think you would really really like it. It's great for a quick cardio workout! After that, we went to Total Toning. Sharon (the hard ass) taught it. I thought it wouldn't be that bad. OH NO! for little 4 lb weights, she can certainly make your muscles burn with them!!! I was dripping by the end! After that was Gentle Stretch. They do that every day. I really like it because it stretches you really really well. We got out early (about 4:45) so I had an extra 45 min before dinner!! So I called my parents. MAN i miss them so much!!! I told my dad I wanted him to come spend a week with me!! hahaha for that matter, ANY of you guys should come spend a week here!!! It's crazy but so good for you!!!!
After dinner, we had another lecture from Emily the dietician. It was really good. She gave us a TON of information. I've decided I'm attending all the lectures this week, THEN, reattend them all the week before I leave. That way it'll be fresh in my mind. I know, it was a pretty good idea. Well, we got outta there at about 7:15. I ran to my room, took a quick shower, hopped in bed, and watched the biggest loser. I was out by 9:15!!!
